Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a simple yet powerful way to protect your Skhole account. It’s a security process where users are required to provide two different types of authentication to verify their identity. This typically includes something you know (like a password) and something you have (like a mobile device or security code), making it much harder for anyone else to access your account even if your password is compromised.
Why is 2FA especially important for teachers and admin users?
Teachers and supervisors have permissions to:
Edit user information
Archive user accounts
Invite or remove users
If a teacher’s account is compromised, it could potentially result in an entire group or organization losing access, deletion of learner data, or a serious breach of data privacy.
👉 2FA is a simple and effective way to prevent this.
2FA protects both you and your learners
Blocks access even if your password is leaked
Secures sensitive data like learner records, course completions, and certificates
Builds trust – users know their information is protected
Setting up 2FA is fast and easy
Primary method: Google Authenticator
No internet required – codes are generated on your personal device
Quick to use and highly secure
Alternative method: Email verification
No apps to install
A simple way to add an extra layer of protection
How to enable 2FA in Skhole
Log in to your Skhole account
Use your username and password to sign in.Go to Settings
Once logged in, navigate to the "Profile" section and select "Settings."Enable Google Authenticator

Once Google Authenticator is set up, email verification will be automatically enabled as a backup. This ensures you can still access your account if you lose access to the Authenticator app.

Skhole’s Recommendation
We strongly recommend that all teachers and admin users enable 2FA.
Securing your account isn't just for your own protection; it's a responsible step to help ensure the privacy of your learners' data.
Summary
Without 2FA | With 2FA |
A leaked password can grant full access | No access without the second code |
Learner data may be at risk | Learner data stays protected |
Increased organizational risk | Simple, manageable added security |
